My ode to Ryoji Ikeda, one of my greatest inspirations. This specific audiovisual is my personal interpretation of one of Ryoji’s earlier works “Datamatics (2006)”. I wanted to see how his work would feel when there is a darker edge attached to it, and by working on it I realized that there are many more possibilities in this particular realm. It is the start of a new audiovisual series where I explore the concept of overwhelmingly detailed and abstract interfaces of the distant future. Where we have some sense of understanding certain frameworks and information formatting, but at the same time are overwhelmed by the complexity and abstractness of it.
